VIRTUALIZATION TECHNOLOGIES

When Learning to configure our Network Devices we need to use a Virtualization Technology. This will be the canvas where we drag-&-drop our devices we need to configure. While there are many companies that provide this resource; Genesis Teaching has chosen to use GNS3 as the company and software of choice.

IOS IMAGES

An IOS Image is the file we need to run a Router or Switch in our GNS3 Software. Due to legalities we are not allowed to provide these images. Once acquired you may watch the corresponding video to learn how to install the image.

VMWARE

Dynamips is the default Cisco emulator that comes usable with GNS3 for the virtualization software. This allows for the use of older Cisco IOS images; as the newer IOS images are not supported with Dynamips. To make use of Newer IOS images as well as run Juniper code you will have to install and run VMware.

The Website may also contain links to other third-party websites, which are governed by the terms of use and privacy policies of their owners and operators (“Linked Sites”). In General. The Website from time to time may contain blogs, discussion groups, chat rooms, and other online forums (“Internet Forums”). Standard of Conduct. You agree that you are responsible for your own communications with respect to the Website and for any consequences thereof, and you agree to use the Website and any Internet Forums only to post, send, and receive messages and material that are proper and related to the Website or the particular Internet Forum. By way of example, and not as a limitation, you agree that when using the Website you will not:

Reserved Company Rights:

Beyond the ability to monitor Internet Forums, GenesisTeaching retains the right, at its discretion, to (1) disclose information as required to comply with relevant policies, laws, regulations, legal procedures, government requests, or similar obligations, and (2) edit, refuse, or remove information or materials, partially or entirely, for any reason, as determined solely by GenesisTeaching.

You can report any communication believed to be in violation of this Agreement by sending an email to [email protected]. If GenesisTeaching identifies a communication allegedly in conflict with this Agreement, it may, at its discretion, investigate the allegation and decide whether to remove or request the removal of the communication. However, GenesisTeaching holds no liability or responsibility for the execution or non-execution of such activities.

Intellectual Property:

The Website is the exclusive property of GenesisTeaching. Unless otherwise specified, the design features, content, including but not limited to information, illustrations, product layouts, icons, navigational elements, artwork, graphics, text, data, audio, software, and infrastructure, are owned by GenesisTeaching, its affiliates, or licensed from third parties by GenesisTeaching. License:

GenesisTeaching does not claim ownership of content provided, posted, uploaded, input, or submitted to the Website by you or other users. GenesisTeaching respects the intellectual property of others and requests its users to do the same. This Agreement is governed by the internal laws of the State of New Hampshire, USA. You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of courts in New Hampshire, USA in disputes related to the Website. The use of the Website is unauthorized in any jurisdiction that does not recognize all provisions of this Agreement. If any part of this Agreement is determined to be invalid or unenforceable under applicable law, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
